Check the stairs before booking#
The official notice currently says the elevator is undergoing maintenance until further notice and terrace access is by stairs only. Do not book on the assumption that a lift will be working on your visit day.
There are 284 steps to the terrace. The general visitor page also describes a lift for people who need it, but the current maintenance notice takes precedence; confirm accessibility directly before making plans that depend on step-free access.
Compare admission categories, not promises#
The official homepage currently displays €16 admission. The full tariff calendar varies by season and day, so check the date-specific official rate before comparing it with the reseller’s audio-and-entry total.
Under-18s and eligible young visitors can qualify for free admission. Consult the venue’s precise age, nationality and residency conditions and bring proof, rather than assuming every visitor should purchase the same paid product.
Which entrance should I use?#
Use the Passage du Souvenir underground access from the Champs-Élysées or Avenue de la Grande-Armée. Plan your approach to the monument around that visitor access rather than trying to cross the traffic circle.

Plan your visit#
Last admission is 45 minutes before closing. Leave enough time to climb and enjoy the terrace; the last-entry deadline is not the same as the time you must leave.
