Choose admission before choosing extras#

A Louvre admission ticket covers the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. It also includes a visit to the Eugène-Delacroix museum on the same or following day. Start with that admission scope before deciding whether you need any extra interpretation.

The featured WeGoTrip option is a resold Louvre entrance ticket. Its inclusion list names admission, not an accompanying live guide or an app audio tour. Choose it for the ticket arrangements, rather than expecting a guided museum experience.

Official Louvre prices and free admission#

The official EEA visitor rate is €22 and the non-EEA visitor rate is €32. These are museum admission rates, not the total for a reseller package; compare the actual checkout price and your eligibility before paying.

Under-18s and eligible EEA residents under 26 can enter free with the required proof. Check the complete eligibility conditions and reserve the appropriate free time slot instead of buying a paid reseller ticket unnecessarily.

Free admission is offered on the first Friday evening of the month after 6 p.m., except in July and August. That is a specific admission arrangement, not a promise that every Friday visit is free.

Timed entry is not a security-queue shortcut#

Reservations are required from 17 October to 1 November 2026, apart from the museum’s listed exempt cardholders. Check the exception list if relevant; do not assume a membership also exempts everyone accompanying you.

The Louvre warns against mirror sites, street sellers and tickets claiming to let you jump the queue. A timed ticket is not a security-check exemption. Use the official ticketing channel as your baseline when comparing any intermediary.

The reseller’s exclusions explicitly include skipping the security line and fast-track access to temporary exhibitions. Allow time for checks even if the product title or ticket description uses priority-entry language.

Can I change my Louvre reservation?#

Official tickets are tied to the chosen date and time and cannot normally be changed, exchanged or refunded. Check the terms of the specific seller before buying; the museum’s rules should not be mistaken for a reseller’s cancellation policy.

Compare your options#

What to compare before booking
OptionWhat to check
Official admissionUse the museum’s published admission category to establish your starting price. Free-entry eligibility and proof requirements can matter more than adding a package.
Resold entrance ticketThe featured product supplies Louvre entry without a live guide. Compare the reseller total separately from the museum’s own rate and do not pay extra expecting the security queue to disappear.

Plan your visit#

The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays. Choose the visit day before arranging the rest of your itinerary, rather than assuming a museum ticket can be used on any day.

Last entry is 1 hour before closing and rooms start clearing 30 minutes before closing. Leave enough time for the art you want to see instead of treating last entry as the start of a full-length visit.
