Choose a museum ticket, not just an audio guide#
The featured WeGoTrip entrance ticket includes the Orangerie’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. That makes it different from an audio-only download and from other bundles whose exclusions remove temporary-exhibition access.
This plain entrance product excludes the WeGoTrip multimedia audio tour and app navigation. Choose it for museum access, rather than expecting smartphone commentary to be included.
Online admission costs more than the museum desk rate#
The museum lists full-rate admission at €12,50 online and €11 on site. The online booking decision is about arranging the visit ahead, not automatically saving money; a reseller’s checkout total is a separate price.
The official Orsay–Orangerie combined ticket is listed at €20 and sold on site, not in the online column. It may be worth considering if you want both museums, but it is not the same product as the featured Orangerie-only ticket.
The published reduced admission rate is €8,50 on site. Read the eligibility rules before planning around it; a lower tariff in the museum’s table does not mean every visitor or online reseller can supply that category.
Book the right day and time#
The museum is closed on Tuesdays. Ordinary last access is at 17h15 and room clearing begins at 17h45. Check the calendar before fitting the Orangerie between other Paris visits.
Friday evening openings run during exhibition periods, with reduced evening admission after 18h and last entry at 20h15. Check the current programme rather than relying on an old promotional window left on a ticketing page.
The current programme confirms an evening opening on Friday 16 October 2026. Use the actual date calendar for your visit; the existence of an evening ticket category does not establish opening on every future Friday.
Who can visit free?#
Under-18s and eligible young EU visitors can qualify for free admission, with proof. Check the full nationality and residency conditions rather than buying a paid product for someone entitled to enter free.
The first Sunday of each month is free for all visitors but requires a reservation, apart from the listed membership exception. Free admission is not a guarantee that a time slot remains available when you decide to book.
Compare your options#
| Option | What to check |
|---|---|
| Official online or desk admission | The museum ticket covers permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, subject to capacity, for one entry. Leaving ends the visit, so plan the collection and exhibition together rather than expecting re-entry. |
| Resold entrance ticket | The featured product supplies entrance and exhibition access without the WeGoTrip app audio tour. Compare the total and time-slot conditions with the museum’s own ticketing options. |
Plan your visit#
The museum warns about mirror sites, street sellers and misleading queue-jumping offers. A ticket does not remove mandatory security checks; choose the booking channel for its actual terms rather than a shortcut promise.
Arriving outside the reserved slot loses the reseller ticket’s reserved-access advantage. Its instructions say the ticket remains valid that day under the waiting conditions for visitors without a timed reservation; aim to arrive for your booked slot instead.
