Uffizi last-minute ticketsSame-day beats advance
At the Uffizi the same-day ticket costs less than the advance booking — the opposite of every other museum. Here is how to use that, and what the operator products actually sell.

The counterintuitive fact that solves most sold-out panic#
At the Uffizi, buying on the day is cheaper than booking ahead: the official advance ticket costs EUR 29 because the advance price carries the reservation, while the same-day ticket is EUR 25. An empty online calendar is not a dead end — the online allocation and the door are separate inventory.
Official Uffizi prices#
| Ticket | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Same-day entry | EUR 25 | Bought on the day of the visit |
| Advance entry | EUR 29 | Online reservation; costs more than the same-day ticket |
| Afternoon entry from 16:00 | EUR 16 same-day / EUR 20 advance | Cheaper afternoon rate, introduced 1 January 2026 |
| Uffizi plus Vasari Corridor | EUR 43 / EUR 47 | Same-day / advance |
| Five-days all-museums circuit | EUR 40 | Covers the wider museum circuit over five days |
| Groups of 11 or more | + EUR 70 | Supplement on qualifying group bookings |
How to actually buy last-minute#
- Same-day tickets online tickets.uffizi.it sells same-day inventory online, not only at the window — check it before travelling to the queue.
- The ticket offices Under the Uffizi loggia, on the Pitti Palace square and at the Boboli Gardens entrances.
- By phone 800 615 615 in Italy or +39 055 0354135 abroad, daily 08:00-19:00. Phone and web inventory are not always identical.
- The 16:00 afternoon ticket At EUR 16 on the day, the afternoon entry is the guaranteed-cheap slot when mornings are gone.
What sold out means here#
The online allocation for one date is gone; it does not mean the museum is closed to you. Tickets are nominative. Do not plan around a guaranteed walk-up: the official site is the only availability authority, and sales can be suspended at short notice.
Hosted-entry and priority options#
Four operator products were verified bookable on 14 October 2026. All cost more than the official fares — they sell a reserved slot and meeting-point assistance from an operator allotment, never a discount. A listed price is not a guarantee of slots for your date: open the booking calendar and read the conditions before treating any of them as your backup.
The hosted-entry product at EUR 42.65 is the cheapest verified option: a reserved ticket plus assistance at the meeting point, explicitly not a guided tour. The EUR 50.50 option adds a self-guided in-app audio tour.
| Product | Listed price | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Hosted entry | EUR 42.65 | Reserved entry ticket plus meeting-point assistance; not a guided tour |
| Ticket and audio tour | EUR 50.50 | Priority entrance plus a self-guided in-app audio tour |
| Priority entrance | EUR 48.36 | Reserved entrance ticket plus meeting-point assistance near the statue of Giotto |
| Priority entrance, second operator | EUR 42.65 | Reserved ticket with meeting-point coordination near the Donatello statue; the product page states this is not a guided tour |
If today is truly impossible#
Florence has strong same-day alternatives: the five-day all-museums circuit ticket covers multiple sites over five days for EUR 40, which spreads one difficult day across the rest of the trip. Keep the rest of the day flexible rather than forcing a morning you cannot get.
Frequently asked questions#
Are Uffizi tickets cheaper on the day?
Yes — unusually, the same-day ticket (EUR 25) costs less than the advance ticket (EUR 29), because the advance price includes the reservation.
How much is the Uffizi afternoon ticket?
EUR 16 on the day (EUR 20 in advance) for entry from 16:00 — the cheapest legitimate entry, a rate introduced on 1 January 2026.
Can I buy Uffizi tickets for today online?
Yes — same-day tickets can be bought on tickets.uffizi.it as well as at the ticket offices under the Uffizi loggia and at Pitti Palace.
Can I call the Uffizi to get a ticket?
Reservations can be made by phone on 800 615 615 (Italy) or +39 055 0354135 (abroad), daily 08:00-19:00; phone inventory is not always identical to web inventory.
Do Uffizi tickets sell out?
The online allocation for a date can sell out, especially from April to October — but same-day door inventory is separate, and the afternoon ticket often remains. Check the official site for your date.
Is a hosted-entry reseller ticket worth it?
It costs more than the official fare (from EUR 42.65 versus EUR 25) and buys a reserved slot plus meeting-point assistance; it makes sense when you need certainty on a date the official calendar cannot give you.
