Accademia Gallerytickets for the David, without the guesswork
The official ticket is €16 plus a €4 booking fee, entry is timed, and under-18s go free. Priority-entrance bundles cost about double — here is exactly what that extra money buys, and what it does not.

The short answer
- Official price
- €20 booked online as listed on the official tickets page — a €16 ticket plus the €4 booking fee (checked 17 October 2026).
- Free entry
- Under-18s are free; official guidance still recommends reserving an entry time rather than turning up.
- Reservations
- The museum's own wording is that reservations are highly recommended. Tickets are tied to a date and a 15-minute arrival window.
- Priority bundle
- WeGoTrip's priority-entrance ticket was €37.19 on 17 October 2026 — it buys entrance through the priority line with staff assistance, not commentary: no audio guide and no live guide are included.
The official ticket and how booking works#
The Galleria dell'Accademia sells through the official Firenze Musei platform on b-ticket.com, and the museum's own tickets page lists a regular full ticket at €20 with the ticket itself stated at €16 and booking priced at €4. That €4 reservation fee applies to the booking, not to walking in without one — it is the cost of the timed slot that keeps the gallery from exceeding its capacity.
The museum's official visit page is direct about demand: reservations are highly recommended, and you book a date and an entrance time by phone or online. The sales flow assigns a 15-minute arrival window, and the window — not the moment you reach the door — is what your ticket is for.
Two useful variations exist on the official side. A 48-hour combined pass covers the Accademia and the Bargello museums for €26, and under-18s enter free. The official pages also warn, in their own words, that unauthorized street vendors are not affiliated with the museum — buy only from the museum's official channels.
Who pays nothing, and who pays less#
- Under 18. Free, per the official tickets page. A free admission still needs an entry time in busy periods, so reserve through the official platform rather than planning to walk up.
- EU visitors aged 18–24. A reduced fare exists under Tuscany's standard concession rules. We do not publish a figure we could not read directly on the official page when checked — confirm the amount at official checkout.
- Everyone else. The €16 ticket plus €4 booking fee is the number to budget, and it is the same fare the resellers are compared against throughout this page.
Which ticket fits your visit#
Choose by what you want from the visit
You plan ahead and want the cheapest correct ticket
Book the official €20 ticket on the Firenze Musei platform
It is the same gallery, the same David and the same timed entry; the reseller's premium is a service, not better access to the art.
Your date is close, sold out, or you want entrance through the priority line
Take the priority-entrance ticket at €37.19
The merchant states priority entrance, access to David and the permanent and temporary exhibitions, and assistance at the meeting point — help arriving correctly matters most when dates are tight.
You want commentary inside the gallery itself
Choose a bundle that states in-gallery audio — the €57.50 option does; the €37.19 one does not
One reseller product explicitly excludes its audio tour inside the Accademia, so buying the cheaper bundle and expecting gallery narration is how visitors end up disappointed.
You are under 18 or eligible for concessions
Use the official free or reduced route
A paid bundle cannot improve on free admission; it can only add a fee to it.
What the priority-entrance bundle does and does not include#
WeGoTrip's "Accademia Gallery: Priority Entrance Ticket" was €37.19 on 17 October 2026 and is available for purchase. The merchant states that it contains priority entrance to the Accademia Gallery, access to Michelangelo's David, access to the permanent and temporary exhibitions, and assistance at the meeting point.
The same product states what it excludes, and it matters: no guided tour, no audio guide, and no gratuities. This is an entrance product with queue handling, not a tour. If you buy it expecting a person or a narration to walk you through the gallery, you will have paid €17.19 above the official fare for something you did not want.
Two other WeGoTrip options existed on the same date and are worth naming because their audio claims differ. The €54 "Accademia Gallery Ticket & Sightseeing Audio Tour" includes entrance and a downloadable city audio route, but explicitly states that the audio tour inside the Accademia is not included. The €57.50 "Priority Entry Ticket and Audio Tour with a City Walk" does include an audio tour of the gallery's highlights plus the city walk, with your mobile voucher exchanged for a paper ticket at the meeting point.
Compare your options#

| Official 48-hour pass | €26 | Accademia plus the Bargello museums within 48 hours | Same exclusions as the standard ticket |
| WeGoTrip priority entrance | €37.19 | Priority entrance, David and exhibitions, assistance at the meeting point | No audio guide, no live guide, no gratuities |
| WeGoTrip ticket + in-gallery audio + city walk | €57.50 | Priority entry plus audio tour of the gallery highlights and a city walk | No live guide; voucher exchange at the meeting point |
| WeGoTrip ticket + city audio only | €54.00 | Entrance plus a downloadable city sightseeing audio route | Audio inside the Accademia is explicitly not included |
Official fares from the museum's official tickets page; bundle fares from the merchant's live product pages. The gallery is state-run: official channels set the entry rules either way.
Booking rules that decide whether you get in#
- Timed entry is the product. The date and time you select at checkout are the entrance time. Build your morning around the slot rather than the other way round — the reservation is capacity, not a suggestion.
- Reserve before you travel. The museum's own page says reservations are highly recommended; peak-season arrivals without one risk waiting or being offered a later slot. Official guidance, not a sales line: the gallery sells the same ticket at the desk.
- Official channels only. The official site warns that unauthorized street vendors of prints and tickets are not affiliated with the museum. Your confirmation comes from the Firenze Musei platform.
- The €4 fee follows the booking. It is charged on the official platform for reserving a slot, and it is the reason "free" tickets still show a total at checkout. Confirm the fee treatment for concession and free tickets in official checkout.
- Pair it honestly. The Accademia and the Uffizi are separate tickets with separate time slots — our Uffizi guide covers last-minute availability there, and no single ticket quietly covers both.
Common questions#
Do I need to book Accademia tickets in advance?
The museum's official wording is that reservations are highly recommended, and timed entry is how the gallery controls capacity. Book ahead once your Florence dates are firm; do not build your trip around walking up, especially between spring and autumn.
Can I just buy a ticket at the door?
The gallery sells tickets, but the official guidance still recommends a reserved entry time, and desk availability follows the day's remaining capacity. If seeing David is the point of your Florence day, the reservation is the part that guarantees it.
Is Michelangelo's David included in the ticket?
Yes — the official ticket covers the gallery that houses the original David, and the reseller's priority product states "access to Michelangelo's David" explicitly along with the permanent and temporary exhibitions. The two free copies standing outdoors in Piazza della Signoria and at Piazzale Michelangelo are separate, and do not need a ticket at all.
How much are Accademia tickets?
€20 booked online as listed on the official tickets page when checked on 17 October 2026 — a €16 ticket with the €4 booking fee. Under-18s are free, and a 48-hour Accademia + Bargello pass is €26.
Does the ticket include an audio guide?
Not the official one — and not every reseller product either. On WeGoTrip, the €37.19 priority ticket explicitly excludes its audio guide, the €54 option excludes audio inside the gallery, and only the €57.50 product includes an in-gallery audio tour. Check the inclusions above before assuming narration is part of the price.
Do I need a separate ticket for the Uffizi?
Yes. The Accademia and the Uffizi are different museums with different reservations, and no standard ticket covers both. Plan them as separate timed slots — our Uffizi page covers what to do when those slots are scarce.
Is there a combined ticket for Florence museums?
There are official combinations — the 48-hour Accademia + Bargello pass at €26, and the Passepartout 5-day ticket that covers the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. There is no single official ticket that covers the Accademia and the Uffizi together.
