Which official ticket includes Napoleon’s tomb?#

The Musée de l’Armée “museum and exhibitions” ticket includes the Dome church and the tomb of Napoleon I. It also covers the permanent collections, the current temporary exhibition, the Musée de l’Ordre de la Libération and the Musée des Plans-Reliefs. That official inclusion list is the starting point when deciding which ticket you need.

Understand the museum’s own prices#

Official full-price admission is €17, with a reduced €12 category and a €10 late-night rate. The first-Friday evening opening runs from 6pm to 10pm. Check the category and opening period you actually intend to use, instead of comparing an evening rate with an unrelated daytime reseller package.

The museum also describes a €5 ticket for the specified young EU nationals or residents aged 18–25 and Pass Education holders. Read that category together with its free-admission rules; do not assume every young visitor pays the same amount or needs a full-price reseller ticket.

When does the Rodin combined ticket make sense?#

The official Army Museum–Rodin combined ticket costs €26, compared with the stated €30 for the separate tickets. It is useful when you already want both museums, not a reason to add a second visit you will not use. The official combined-ticket conditions give a period of three months from purchase.

Compare the audio-and-admission bundle#

The featured WeGoTrip package currently lists €21.03. Its admission description includes the Dome and Napoleon’s tomb, along with the listed museum areas, and the package adds independent app commentary. Keep that reseller total separate from the museum’s €17 full rate; paying more is a choice about the package, not proof of a saving.

A downloadable audio tour does not supply a live guide or remove normal entry checks. Read the selected ticket variant carefully, particularly any evening conditions. This is an admission-and-audio product, not an invitation to assume every activity at the Invalides complex is included.

What to compare before booking
OptionWhat to check
Official museum ticketUse the official museum-and-exhibitions ticket if the Dome, tomb and included collections are what you want. Check whether a concession, free category or evening rate applies before buying.
Admission plus independent audioChoose the reseller bundle if you want its app commentary in addition to the specified admission. Check the checkout total and practical voucher instructions rather than relying on the product’s queue-skipping language.

Plan your visit#

The museum is normally open daily, but closes on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. Confirm the date before arranging other reservations nearby; the complex being visible from outside does not establish ticketed museum access.

Allow time for the Dome and the collections you actually want to see. The museum ticket offices close before the museum does, so last-minute arrival is a poor way to start a visit with several different areas.

Frequently asked questions#

Do I need a separate official ticket just for Napoleon’s tomb?

The official museum-and-exhibitions ticket already names the Dome church and Napoleon I’s tomb in its included areas. Use that official description when comparing another seller’s package.

Is the reseller bundle cheaper than official admission?

The currently listed package price is €21.03. It adds independent app commentary; compare that total separately from the museum’s own applicable admission category.
